I am amazed at how quickly this year is already going by. It has been such a pleasure to photograph some beautiful families over the last few years through Celebrate Life. I am also very excited at the list of growing photographers taking part all over the country and the world. It is a wonderful thing to give and in our small way we are making lasting memories for wonderful families.
I want to welcome Masters Hand Photography from Fargo, ND
I also wanted to let everyone know that I am opening up my calendar for 3 more sessions in the fall of 2010 so please make those nominations. I am sure there are so many wonderful families out there in need of a session.

I am a bit delayed in posting to the Celebrate Life blog these days. It has been a busy summer. I would like to share with you the A family. They are such a wonderful family and it was such a pleasure to meet them and photograph them. Little J is such a beauty and her brothers have so much character.
Sadly little A is now a little angel in the hands of God. She left this world a few weeks after our session. My thoughts and prayers are with their family. Even though I only met little J for a brief time she will always remain in my heart.

Little M has come through so much and is still fighting hard. You can read about her story here on her blog . Keep little M is your prayers. Her mother has amazing strength and love for her little girl.

I was just so excited to meet the N family. They have such an amazing sprit! They have been though so much in the past few year. Julia has fought hard and is now in remission for a second time. I had so much fun at this session and left with a huge smile on my face and joy in my heart.

I have thought long and hard about how Celebrate Life will grow this year. I have also thought about how to define what Celebrate Life is. I have been blessed to be able to reach out to so many wonderful families in the Charlotte community and I know there are so many more and there are so many photographers out their willing to do the same. I have also heard of children and families in other communities in need of the gift of photography. Immediately my thoughts go to finding a photographer in their area. Some of the time I am so excited to hear that a talented photographer has already offered this amazing gift to them.
To me Celebrate Life is a network. A network of photographers all over the world ( I am hoping) that can give of their art in so many ways.
Weather it be to families in the community or fundraisers for charities in the community.
Celebrate life is an awareness of how a simple gift can mean so much.
I was recently asked how do other photographers join in.
Email me.
I will list your name on the photographers network.
You must be an established photographer with a full portfolio.
You must be willing to offer the items listed above as a “gift” to those who are nominated.
Post the Celebrate life link on your blog and add the celebrate life logo to your site.
You must also be actively aware of those in need in your community.
Photographers involved will be able to post images and stories on the Celebrate Life blog to bring awareness to the families cause.
Celebrate Life is a quiet undercurrent of giving… photographers giving through their art and making a difference in their community.
I am truly blessed! I cannot say that enough when I talk about my Celebrate life families. They amaze me with their strength and love and in their kindness.
This past weekend I did an update session of the F family. They are the most wonderful family and I am happy to report that things with little D are going very well, he has overcome so much. Little H is growing so fast and is so beautiful. Here are a few images to tide them over until their gallery is ready.
